About

REBOUND HEALTH SERVICE LLC

BUSINESS Plan and Executive Summary

My name is Richard Mokua and when I reflect on my 15 years in the Army Reserve and my healthcare career, a consistent theme has emerged: many people, regardless of their background, often feel left behind by the traditional healthcare system. Whether it’s veterans navigating unique health challenges or underserved communities struggling with access, I’ve witnessed firsthand how impactful personalized care can be.

That’s why I founded Rebound Health Service—to bridge these gaps and create a clinic that prioritizes the needs of diverse populations, especially those often overlooked. Our clinic will cater to individuals from all walks of life, with a focus on people of color, veterans, and others whose needs aren’t fully met by mainstream primary care providers. Here, patients will experience longer visit times, comprehensive care plans, and a focus on preventive health—all delivered in an environment that truly sees and values them.

Rebound Health Service isn’t just about providing medical care; it’s about redefining what compassionate, patient-centered healthcare looks like for our community.

Experience and Qualifications

As the founder of Rebound Health Service, LLC, I bring over 17 years of experience in diverse healthcare settings and a strong academic foundation. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a leadership focus, as well as master’s degrees in Nursing and Food Science and Nutrition. These qualifications reflect my dedication to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care while continuously improving healthcare outcomes.

My career began at the Mayo Clinic, where I gained invaluable experience as a registered nurse in post-operative care. I advanced into roles as a nurse practitioner, specializing in podiatric care and gastroenterology, where I managed complex conditions and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams. For the past three years, I have worked as an outpatient clinician at a community health clinic, serving patients from underserved populations. This role allowed me to deepen my commitment to addressing healthcare disparities and delivering care that meets both medical and social needs.

Alongside my civilian roles, my 15 years of service in the United States Army Reserve have shaped my leadership and organizational skills. Currently holding the rank of Major, I’ve provided holistic care to soldiers and their families while mentoring junior officers. This dual experience—balancing clinical expertise with leadership—uniquely positions me to lead Rebound Health Service and ensure its success as a veteran-owned clinic.

Throughout my career, I’ve consistently prioritized collaboration, patient education, and evidence-based practices. These principles will guide our clinic’s operations, ensuring that we provide high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of each individual we serve. Rebound Health Service is the culmination of my professional journey, and I’m committed to making it a trusted resource for our community.
